Promoting Healthy and Safe Family Environments
Meeker McLeod Sibley Community Health Services is committed to promoting healthy families and creating safe, nurturing environments for children. Our free, voluntary home visiting program connects pregnant and parenting families with Public Health Nurses who provide support, education, and resources in the comfort of their own homes. Visits are personalized to meet each family’s unique needs, helping to make parenting a rewarding and meaningful experience. Home visits can begin during pregnancy or after birth and continue until your child enters school, offering guidance and support in the following areas:
- Healthy pregnancies – Education and resources for a strong start
- Postpartum and newborn care – Support after hospital discharge, including infant weight checks in the home setting
- Infant and child development – Understanding milestones and growth
- Positive parenting strategies – Building confidence and skills
- Health and nutrition – Guidance on feeding, breastfeeding, and overall well-being
- Childhood safety and injury prevention – Creating a safe home environment
- Strengthening family relationships – Encouraging bonding and communication
- Community resources – Connecting families with local support services
We are here to help you become the parent you want to be. Let us support you on your parenting journey!
